Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

90% of residents living in facilities feel alone. We make a difference.

The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program of Community Connect regularly visits long-term care facilities in the County of Riverside. We serve as advocates for the residents occupying the more than 8,000 beds in long-term care facilities in the city and county of Riverside. Last year, the Ombudsman program safeguarded the elderly with more than 7,500 visits to skilled nursing facilities.

It is a free and confidential service that maintains and improves the quality of life for residents in long-term care facilities throughout Riverside County.

The Ombudsman Program trains community volunteers to objectively investigate and resolve problems of residents in nursing homes and board and care homes. At its core, Ombudsman is a grassroots program based on human kindness and the belief that all individuals have basic human rights and comforts that should be provided.
