Thank you for your interest in volunteering with 211 Community Connect

At Community Connect our mission is connecting people to vital resources that help achieve their path to a greater quality life.

 Our vision is that our community will have access to hope through information and life changing resources during difficult times.

We have numerous volunteering opportunities that are as diverse as the community we serve.

Please complete the attached application, review the opportunities below and let us know where you would like to make a difference.

 

 

If you are willing to volunteer

  •  10 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday
  • Between the hours of 8AM and 5 PM
  • For 3 consecutive months

 Let’s talk:   211/311 Information & Referral Specialist

 32 – 35 hours of Training Required

211 is a resource and information hub that connects people with community, health and disaster services. Our information and referral volunteer specialists connect those in need with those that can help.

  • Requires 32 hours of training which we supply
    • Volunteer becomes a certified Information and Referral Specialist

 

 You are not alone: 93 total hours of training including 211 training above

Our Suicide and Crisis Prevention Hotline operates 24/7 and provides free and confidential support for people or family members in crisis.

 

 

 

  • Requires 58 hours of training which we supply
    • Volunteer becomes a certified Suicide Prevention Counselor

 

 

  Get me to the Court on Time:

 The Alternative Sentencing Program (ASP) connects community needs to individuals who are desirous of making life changing commitments. Volunteer Intake Specialists work with these individuals to assign them to various community outreach and development courses.

 Must be able to clear a Probation background, which includes drug testing.

  • Requires 8 hours of training which we supply
    • Volunteer becomes a certified ASP Intake Specialist
      • This can be expanded with more training (80 hours) to Case Manager certification.

 

Take a Byte:

Looking to build your resume or refresh some rusty computer skills, Data Entry

is the one for you. 

  • Opportunities in 211 and ASP
    • Requires 3-5 hours of training which we supply

 

 Spiderman, Spiderman:

 Let your creative juices flow and help us by utilizing your knowledge of  Web design.

 No training provided, so, come as you are, we need your expertise!

 

 

Let’s go Shopping:

 Renee Blodgett said “I am all for conversations, but you need to have a message.”  Community Connect has a message and we need your Marketing skills to help us get the message out to the community.
